Community First Neighbourhood Matched Fund Grants for Groups in Ovenden

The Government has made a total of £84k available for Ovenden ward to be spent by March 2015.

This must be spent on grants for activities and projects that benefit Ovenden Ward. It must be a group that applies, and that group must have a terms of reference.

Each grant must be no smaller than £250 and no bigger than £2,500 and must be match funded by volunteer time, gifts in kind, or cash donations. No group can receive more than £2,500 in a calendar year but groups can re-apply each year.

The Community Development Foundation is running the Community First programme for the Government.

There is an Ovenden Community First Panel who will recommend projects to the CDF for funding. Ovenden Panel members are;

  • Rev.Terry Hepworth
  • Rev.Jean Hoggard
  • Sara Holdroyd
  • Diane Murray
  • Chris Warner
  • David Eyers

Your application form should be sent to the panel to consider and it must meet one or more of the priorities for Community First in Ovenden>>

The Ovenden Community First Panel meets up to 3 times a year to consider applications – the closing date for the next round of funding is Monday 2 September 2013.
